La Mascareignes
Description
Troisième course du Grand Raid de La Réunion, la Mascareignes relie Hell-Bourg au stade de la Redoute à Saint-Denis sur 73 km. Le tracé rejoint d'abord la Plaine des Merles par Ilet à Vidot et Mare d'Affouches, plonge dans Mafate par le sentier Scout et Aurère, puis en ressort par Deux Bras et le mur de Dos d'Âne, avant de rallier le tracé final commun aux courses du Grand Raid (sentier Kalla, chemin des Anglais, le Colorado, la Vigie). Une épreuve rapide mais aux descentes cassantes, avec davantage de dénivelé négatif (environ 4900 m) que positif (3800 m) — les meilleurs bouclent la course en 8 heures environ. Certifiée ITRA.
